Light. Long range anti-air.

Strategy[]

Offensive: Just like any AA unit, this unit would work best with some cannon-fodder in front of it, but don't hesitate to deploy this unit when facing a lot of unprotected air units, as an average-to-high leveled Daedalus will one-shot most air units (at least up to SR). This unit is also, due to its high range and average damage, an effective counter against some infantry including snipers like the Comrade Zero, and is even able to destroy low-armor recon and tank units.

Defensive: A well-leveled Daedalus obliterates even the toughest SR Aircraft like the Pegasus, so try to avoid deploying air units when this unit is around. However, it locks on to its target until it (or itself) is destroyed, so deploying cannon-fodder in front of your aircraft will be effective against this unit. Also, it's vulnerable to any well-armored tanks that aren't too slow (but a decent-leveled Janissary III will work too). this unit can even be destroyed by high-damage air units if they manage to get close enough to fire. Watch out with deploying up to rare recon units, as this will destroy them if they have light armor or low speed.

Trivia[]

  • The Daedalus in-game model is based on the M42 Duster.
  • The name Daedalus comes originally from Greek literature (see), but is also mentioned in the TV show Stargate (see) & as an item in the game DOTA 2 (see).

Variant Specialty[]

  • The Daedalus is the long range variant of its family making it the better choice over its' other super rare counterpart the Sinbad V. Albeit it still lacks the raw firepower of the ultra rare variant.
